Services and Fees – Therapy House
We have established Therapy House with the aim of providing high quality evidence based services to our clients.
Our services include:
- Assessment of ADHD, Autism, and developmental disorders
- Cognitive assessment for giftedness or cognitive impairment
- Assessment of memory and concentration
- Assessment of learning disabilities (such as Dyslexia and Dysgraphia)
- Therapy with children for a range of problems such as anxiety, fears, depression, school avoidance, peer relationship problems, and low self-esteem
- Family therapy for families in distress
- Couple therapy
- Adult’s short-term psychodynamic therapy
Our team members are trained to use various therapy models including:
- Cognitive behaviour therapy with children and adults (CBT)
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Emotionally focused therapy for couples, families, and individuals (EFT)
- Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing with people who have experienced trauma (EMDR)
- Short term psychodynamic therapy to address deeper and rooted problems that can be manifested in the forms of anxiety and depression, personality disorders, and relationship problems
Fees for an initial session with all psychologists is $320. Ongoing sessions for individuals are $280 to see Dr Kaya Beinke, and $260 to see Dr Amelia.
Following sessions with other Registered Psychologists is $260.
Couples/Family sessions are $280 to $350.
Assessments, letters, reports and other services (such as meeting with stakeholders) will be charged additional to sessions charges.
Each appointment is 50 minutes.
Medicare rebates of $96.65 for Generally Registered Psychologists or $141.85 can be obtained via GP Referral and Mental Health Care Plan. Medicare does NOT cover couple and family sessions. Medicare currently supports up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year. Medicare does not apply to couple or family sessions.
If you have private health insurance, your cover may include psychology. You can use Medicare or private health insurance, but not both at the same time.
There is no Medicare rebate applicable for sessions with a provisionally registered psychologist. If you have private health insurance, your cover may include psychology.
NDIS clients will be charged as per NDIS approve fees of $214.41, plus relevant time for note taking, formulation and client preparation.
We conduct several psychological assessments.
Assessment packages cost between $1200 – $3000.
The total fees include the following:
- 3-4 sessions of testing with the child
- 1 session interview with parents
- 1 session of report feedback
- 4-6 hours of scoring and report preparation
- Contact with school if necessary
