The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) grants the status of ā€˜provisional psychologistā€™ to individuals who have been assessed to have completed a minimum of 4 to 5 years of psychological education and wish to obtain their general registration as psychologist. Lisa is currently undertaking the 5+1 internship pathway to general registration, meaning that she has completed a five-year sequence of accredited study and is now completing a one-year practical internship. Provisionally registered psychologists are mentored by at least one fully registered psychologist, who they report to and discuss with all aspect of their clinical practice to demonstrate core competencies required for general registration. Please note that Medicare rebates do not apply when seeing a provisionally registered psychologist (only fully registered psychologists can apply for a Medicare provider number).

Dr Lisa Wittenhagen is available for in-person and telehealth consultation on Mondays and Tuesdays.
