Clinical Psychologist

Rani is a Clinical Psychologist with a Master of Clinical Psychology. Having recently relocated to Brisbane from Rockhampton, Rani brings experience working with individuals across regional and rural communities. She works alongside people across the lifespan, supporting them to make sense of their experiences and explore meaningful ways of navigating life’s challenges together.
Rani has experience providing both assessment and therapy, supporting clients with a range of concerns including anxiety, low mood, trauma, learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, relationship and family challenges, anger, bullying, and identity questions. Rani has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent young people and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and focuses on empowering authenticity. Rani takes a neuroaffirming approach that recognises and values each person’s unique way of thinking, feeling, and interacting with the world.
Rani’s work is grounded in trauma-informed principles, with a focus on safety, trust, choice, and collaboration. Rani is attentive to the broader systems that can shape mental health, including cultural, social, and structural influences, and is committed to acknowledging these realities in therapy. They draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and play-based approaches for younger cohorts.
Rani believes that meaningful change comes from working together in a way that honours each person’s lived experience. They take a flexible and responsive approach to therapy, learning from their clients and adapting their approaches to meet evolving needs. At the core of their practice is a deep respect for the insights and strengths each individual brings, and a commitment to building strong, respectful relationships that support self-understanding and healing.
